Animal Communication

Fairly straightforward, this is the ability to communicate with animals. An animal communicator is able to instictively understand what animals are saying, and to communicate back with them. Generally this takes the form of mental communication. The psychic doesn't bark at their dog, but rather communicates with them like a telepath would - except with the animal instead of a person.

Animal communicators can, in theory, communicate with any animal. However they often tend to form bonds with specific animals who they work with closely. Animals can be finicky creatures and not always cooperative!

Animal communicators can sometimes influence animals to do what they want. This takes a lot of skill and training, and generally works best on animals that the communicator has bonded with rather than strange animals (although this can be done if the communicator is highly trained and the animal is easily influenced).



Common Limitations:
- Animals with higher brain functions are easier to communicate with than those with lower. That is to say, it would be much easier to communicate with a dog than it would be to communicate with a cockroach.
- Communicating with more than one animal at a time can be difficult.
- An animal communicator will feel the pain/suffering of an animal nearby, if there is one. Also, the upset/fear/panic/etc of animals nearby.
