Locations

The game takes place in North Conway, New Hampshire, and there are many real locations where characters can play. However, for the sake of the game, here are some fictitious locations that exist in our game's canon! A few real locations are thrown in as well (those with links are real!).

(Note: The Zener School for the Mind is located about 20 minutes out of town).

Restaurants/Bars

Aquis: A local nightclub, popular with the twenty-something crowd (and those lucky enough to have a good fake ID). Boasts a large dance floor that plays all the popular music (and older danceable favourites as well!) and a large bar that serves beers, shots and all sorts of mixed drinks.

Friendly's Restaurant: A popular family restaurant, with excellent meals at affordable prices. Best known for their ice cream. Walk-up window for ice cream only avaliable!

GREEK: A Greek restaurant. Casual dining style and excellent, authentic Greek food.

Jitters: A popular non-chain coffee shop. Serves a wide selection of coffees, teas and other drinks, as well as sandwiches, pasteries, and other snacks. Comfortable chairs and couches for sitting.

Lucia's The most upscale restaurant in North Conway. The food is excellent, and a bit on the pricey side (but not so outrageous as you'd find in the big cities).

O'Hara's. An Irish pub. All wooden floors and bar and tables. Irish music plays, darts are had, and the football (soccer) matches are sometimes played. Music on stage some weekends. A great place to go for beers and ales (they have a fantastic selection), for hard liquor, for a homey atmosphere. Just don't expect trendy cocktails, as they do only the basics in mixed drinks.

Rivals: A sports bar. Big screen plasma tvs are mounted on the walls, showing all the latest games and scores. Pool tables, darts also offered. Serves a whole hord of beers and other simple drinks, and lots of pub style foods and pizza.

Romy's Diner: A boxcar style diner. Popular for breakfast lunch and dinner. Typical greasy spoon food, all home made and served in big poritions. Coffee's always on, always hot and always fresh.

Sage: A nice (but not too upscale) restaurant that offers excellent food and a full bar. Sage is know for its extensive (and delicious!) martini menu, and has special on them on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Instead of regular tables and chairs, the restaurant is furnished with comfortable, refind sofas and arm chairs. Fireplaces are scattered throughout giving the place a warm, cozy yet elegant feel.

Shimmer: Shimmer is the local under-25 night club. It is dry (ie. no alcohol is served) and is aimed at those under twenty-one, but those twenty-five and under can get in (because sometimes people have older friends!). Anyone oer twenty-five must be signed in by someone younger (to keep away the pervy old people.). Shimmer is all chic inside, with a large dance floor and an equally large bar that serves a whole range of alcohol-free drinks and cocktails.

Entertainment:

Adventures: An indoor recreations center, which offers minigolf, wall climbing and laser tag among other activities.

Crunk'd: A strip-club/bar. Caters to both men and women. Full bar. 21+.

Clayground: A place where you can go to paint your own pottery. Also offers a full cafe, and often showcases local musicians in the evenings and on weekends.

Infinity Ink: A tattoo and piercing parlour. Experienced and skilled tattoo artists and piercers. Must be eighteen or have parental permission to be tattooed!

Pac-Man Fever: The local arcade, located near the mall. A very large arcade, that has all the newest arcade games, as well as many old classics. Also has pinbal machines, DDR, air hockey, foosball, claw machines and a snack bar.

Pin Pals: The local bowling alley. Offers Cosmic Bowling on Friday and Saturday nights, from 7 until midnight.

Pirate's Cove Minigolf: A pirate-themed outdoor mini-golf course, with shipwrecks and treasure chests galore.

Pockets: The local pool hall. Bosts two dozen pool tables (billiard and snooker as well). Monthly tourinments.

Reboot: Is the local cybercafe. One part coffee shop, one part computer lounge. All the computers are state of the art and run all the best games. Come in to check email and surf the net, or come in the game with friends.

Other:

Memorial Hospital: The local hospital, natch.

Schools

The Zener School for the Mind: A boarding school for psychics located outside of North Conway. Most non-psychics believe it is just an exclusive private school.

North Conway Community College: The local community college, which offers a variety of courses in both arts and sciences, as well as various trade classes.

Dartmouth College. An actual university in New Hampshire, but for the purpose of this game we are fudging distance a bit and claiming that it is only a half an hour drive from North Conway, and thus easily accessable to characters in game!
